What happens when the quarrel between Achilles and Agamemnon is translated into Japanese and presented by voice-actors, Japanese-style? The 3,000 year performance tradition of Homer's Iliad continues with a Mid-Pacific accent, as the Iliad is recited in the original Ancient Greek hexameters alternating with a translation into modern Japanese. Individually printed, illustrated, trilingual (Greek/Japanese/English), yomigana'd scripts provided, and audience participation is invited: try your hand at bellowing like Agamemnon or being aggrieved like Achilles! You'll use kanji and tones of voice you'd never use in ordinary Japanese daily life!
