
Jill Johnson is a STEM education professional from Orlando, Florida with a passion for inspiring innovation and STEM confidence among young learners. She earned her master’s degree in instructional design and educational technology from the University of Central Florida. Jill is a certified Elementary Education K-6 Teacher, with an endorsement in Reading and English Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL).
With over 10 years of classroom experience, Jill also worked to initiate new community partnerships and STEM engagement opportunities in a number of ways. She designed and established a dedicated Makerspace and school-site STEM Lab for K-5; including 3D printing, LEGO Education coding solutions, and the establishment of a local Girls Who Code club, participating in district-wide K-12 STEM competitions and hosting annual community engagement events focused on STEM engagement. She was named Curriculum Associates Extraordinary Educator 2022, and most recently a LEGO Education Ambassador.
Jillian has participated in numerous global webinars, expert panels, and educational podcasts focused on STEM Education with companies such as Tech & Learning, Symbaloo, LEGO Education, and Curriculum Associates. She has also co-authored a peer-reviewed journal article published by the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics and presented at the STEM Education Conference at Purdue University. Jill will be presenting at the Space Educators Conference in Kennedy Space Center and ISTE Live 24 in Denver, CO the summer of 2024.
