David Gilner is the Emeritus Director of Libraries for HUC-JIR's four campus Library system. He has served as President of the Association of Jewish Libraries, and of the Council of Archives and Research Libraries in Jewish Studies. He has been the editor of Studies in Bibliography and Booklore and of Bibliogrphica Judaica. Beginning his Jewish studies at the Yeshiva of Flatbush, he has been associated with HUC-JIR for forty-six years as a student and as a librarian. Since 2001, he has led High Holidays services for Congregation Tikkun Olam in Woodstock, IL. For the past ten years, he has taught meditation practices at Cincinnati synagogues, the local JCC and at HUC-JIR.
