Rabbi Nancy H. Wiener, D.Min, is the Founding Director of the Jacob and Hilda Blaustein Center for Pastoral Counseling at Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion in NY, where she holds the Paul and Trudy Steinberg Chair in Human Relations. She holds a Doctor of Ministry in Pastoral Counseling and a Master of Hebrew Letters from Hebrew Union College, as well as a Masters Degree in Jewish History from Columbia University. Rabbi Wiener has done research in South Africa at the Institute for the Healing of Memories and has served on an interfaith think tank, sponsored by the Soul Repair Center at Brite Seminary, exploring the emerging field of moral injury and soul repair. She serves on the Executive Board of Truah: The Rabbinic Call for Human Rights and the rabbinic council of JFREJ—Jews for Racial and Economic Justice and has been a faculty member of FASPE (The Fellowship at Auschwitz for the Study of Professional Ethics).
