Among the rabbinical issues we will discuss are the religious imperative to address social concerns, the conflict between external historical text and internal sense of what is right, and the dangers in taking an unpopular stand. We will look at these matters as they have manifested themselves in the history of the Reform rabbinate and how they affect our movement at present.
