Intersectional antiracist feminist educator and educational consultant
Daughter of immigrant settlers, academic and lecturer at the University of Alberta, Departments of Educational Policy Studies, at the University of Alberta. My areas of research and interest include antiracism, cultural identity and hybridity, intersectionality, positionality, power and privilege. My main role is to work with pre-service teachers in their understanding of culture, race, schooling and decolonizing curriculum. I am committed to helping educators and community members reach their very best potential through critical dialogue and building relationships.
Some of the collaborations and consulting work I have engaged in, include school private and public school partnerships at the senior and junior level, The Alberta Teachers Association, medical faculties and organizations at the national level, federal government consulting including Consultant to Director General Office Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada, Government of Canada and community organizations.
