Jeff Coffin is a musician, educator, Yamaha Performing Artist, Boston Sax Shop Ambassador, composer, and author. Through his encouragement and mentorship Jeff has inspired thousands of students to explore and find their personal joy in music. Students and educators from around the world have experienced first hand, from his over 300 clinics, Coffin's ability to reach players of all ages and levels with his deep passion for teaching. 

In addition to his extensive education and clinic work, (deep breath here) Jeff tours with the legendary Dave Matthews Band, fronts his own various ensembles, teaches at Vanderbilt University, prolifically composes, has his own record label, Ear Up Records, produces, engineers, has released 18+ solo cd's under his name, co-authored "The Articulate Jazz Musician", (with Caleb Chapman) and wrote and released “10 Improvisational Etudes”, "The Saxophone Book" (Books 1-3), “Jeff Coffin and the Mu’tet Play-Along Vol. 1”, & “The Road Book: A Musician’s Guide” to wide acclaim. And he has also published a wonderful children’s book with trumpeter/illustrator Augie Haas titled “The Rabbit, The Carrot, The Crow, & The Quarry”.

Coffin also toured for 14 years and won 3 GRAMMY Awards with the genre-defying Bela Fleck & the Flecktones (1997-2010).
