How would it feel to be able to authentically connect with your students and parents that are immigrants/newcomers to Canada, and Calgary? What you will takeaway from this session is how to bridge that gap with your newcomer student and be that positive light each day as you don't know how bright each of them can shine. You will leave with tools on ways to connect with your students no matter what country they have come from, what questions to ask in order to get the most out of each student, what signs to look for regarding trauma, what they have or may have experienced and how to work with each student and how to build that trust not only with the student but with the parents too.
