Mon statut pour la session
This session will include a live virtual tour of the Canadian Museum for Human Rights, introduction to CMHR's approach to human rights education and a preview of our digital resources for the classroom.
Our free virtual field trips are available in English or French and allow students to connect directly Museum interpreters to discuss human rights concepts. Our programs cover a variety of themes from foundational human rights concepts, what it means to Be an Upstander, the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms and how historic violations have shaped our view of rights today. We will also share about some of our new digital resources ready for the classroom, including an inquiry based resource called "Be an Upstander" and Witnessblanket.ca which shares the voices and stories of residential school survivors. www.humanrights.ca/education
