We know the future problems are out there. The ones we don’t even know about yet. So how do we equip students for this challenge? We need to armour them with critical thinking skills and an understanding of how the world works. By engaging learners in experiences that embed facts and skills into conceptual understanding, their ability to transfer knowledge to new contexts is undoubtedly enhanced. This interactive session will provide work samples showing evidence of conceptual understanding, model ways in which learning can take facts and skills deeper, and explore the importance of learning transfer. When learning experiences are activated through concepts, students make connections, transfer learning to new contexts, and demonstrate retention of knowledge. Come together to make this happen!
