Arif Samad
Dr. Arif Samad, MD FRCSC FACS, received his BSc and Medical Degree from Dalhousie University. He completed his postgraduate residency training in Ophthalmology at McGill University and has completed two post-graduate fellowships, in Anterior Segment surgery at McGill University, followed by a Vitreo-Retinal fellowship at Tulane University in New Orleans. Currently, Dr. Samad is a practicing retinal specialist in Halifax, Nova Scotia and an Associate Professor at the Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences at Dalhousie University. He is actively involved in resident teaching and is Chairman of the Continuing Medical Education committee and Chairman of the Atlantic Eye Symposium, the Canadian Ophthalmic Imaging Symposium and Secretary Treasurer of the Canadian Retina Society. He has lectured in Canada as well as internationally and is a consultant to industry.
