Dr. Moloney trained in ophthalmology at Sydney Eye Hospital and completed fellowships in Oculoplastics and Cornea at the University of British Columbia. He has been the recipient of several awards for clinical corneal research including the Ron Jans clinical corneal research award in 2012, the ASCRS film festival cornea refractive section first prize in 2014, 15 and 16, and the Troutman prize from the Cornea Society in 2018. He was lead surgeon in the Sydney keratoprosthesis program from 2014-2021 and convenor of the DMEK course at Sydney Eye Hospital from 2015-2020. He now lives and works in Vancouver and is Clinical Associate Professor at UBC.
