Sapna Gangaputra MD, MPH

Dr. Sapna Gangaputra completed her ophthalmology residency at University of Wisconsin-Madison and fellowship training in uveitis at the National Eye Institute, Bethesda, MD. She received a master's in public health from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. She specializes in the evaluation and treatment of inflammatory diseases of the eye, including the use and monitoring of systemic immunosuppression. Dr. Gangaputra has published numerous papers in peer-reviewed, scientific journals, book chapters presented at international meetings. She is on the BCSC committee for the uveitis textbook for ophthalmology residents. She is the recipient of NIH funded R21 and U24 grants and is involved in several federal and pharmaceutical funded uveitis clinical trials. Dr. Gangaputra is currently the Associate Vice Chair for Clinical Research, the Director for Clinical Trials, and the Uveitis Division Chief.
