Kaisra Esmail, MD, FRCSC

Dr. Esmail completed her Bachelor of Sciences at McGill University before pursuing the Leaders in Medicine program (joint MD/MSc) at the University of Calgary. She then completed her residency in Ophthalmology at the University of Ottawa, where she won numerous leadership awards. She is currently practicing as a Comprehensive Ophthalmologist in Red Deer, Alberta.

Her interests lie in medical education and leadership. Her research has contributed to curriculum development in undergraduate medical education and assessment tools in Ophthalmology residency programs. Dr. Esmail currently sits on the board of directors for the Eye Physicians and Surgeons Association of Alberta.
