Dr. Helen Chung was born and raised in Edmonton, Alberta. She completed medical school with special training in research at the University of Alberta and completed her ophthalmology residency at the University of Calgary. She currently practices in Calgary as a general ophthalmologist, is active in resident teaching, and pursues multiple research projects in competency-based medical education, refractive surgery, and glaucoma. She has presented papers at various national and international conferences, including: COS, AAO, ESCRS, APAO, ARVO, and WGC.
