Dr. Brent is an Associate Professor of Ophthalmology at the Donald K Johnson Eye Institute, University Health Network in Toronto, Canada. He holds the Milton Harris Chair in Adult Macular Degeneration Research, and is the Retina Service Chief for the Department of Ophthalmology and Vision Sciences at the University of Toronto. His main research interests include, AMD, Diabetic Retinopathy and Vascular Occlusive Disease. Dr. Brent is a Principal Investigator for DRCR.net, and is also the national lead for Diabetes Action Canada Retinopathy Group. Diabetes Action Canada is a CIHR SPOR Network, developing solutions for the management of Diabetes and its complications.
