This course will review the epidemiology, etiology, and nature of retinopathy of prematurity (ROP) in an international context. It will show how some jurisdictions have very effectively used allied health personnel to drastically reduce the risk of avoidable blindness from ROP. Finally, it will discuss how we can learn from their example and partner to provide better care for at-risk infants and their families.
