Learning Objectives  
At the end of this session, participants will be able to:

  1. Identify the importance of preoperative cataract measurements using a multifactorial approach.
  2. Understand the basic steps for B-scan ultrasound.  Identify potential sources of error with ultrasound biometry measurements.
  3. Identify the various steps in visual electrophysiology and explain how these tests are used in clinical practice.
  4. Understand the basic steps in cataract surgery. Describe the sources of error in the process of IOL calculations.
  5. Understand how OCT is used to diagnose, assess, and monitor various macular and retinal diseases.
  6. Identify potential benefits and drawbacks of each IOL and address any concerns about the process.

This program has been submitted for 6.0 "A" IJCAHPO CE credits.
