Sarah Wiese

Program Coordinator, Fair Trade Ambassador Program
Simon Fraser University
Participates in 1 Session

Sarah Wiese is a student at Simon Fraser University, Canada’s only Fair Trade Gold Campus, with a strong passion for Fair Trade and its mission to create a more just and sustainable world. She is particularly inspired by Fairtrade’s efforts to advance the UN Sustainable Development Goals, especially its commitment to reducing inequalities and ending poverty “in all its forms, everywhere,” while ensuring no one is left behind.

As a former Fair Trade Ambassador and now Program Coordinator, Sarah has been actively involved in strengthening Fair Trade advocacy for the past 3 years. She was actively involved in developing and launching the new national Fair Trade Ambassador program, ensuring it was accessible to students across Canada and empowering more people to get involved.

Sarah's journey with Fair Trade began in childhood, but it was during university that she realized how many people were unaware of its impact or even its fundamental purpose. This inspired her to join SFU’s Fair Trade program, where she works to improve visibility on campus and advocate for Fair Trade within her community and beyond.
