Kuljit Rakhra is the co-founder of Takasa, Canada's first homewares brand certified by both the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) and Fairtrade Cotton.  Before venturing into entrepreneurship, Kuljit had a career in banking. His shift from finance to sustainable home goods was driven by a commitment to social and environmental responsibility.

In 2020, alongside his wife Ruby, Kuljit launched Takasa, aiming to provide ethically produced and environmentally friendly bedding products. The brand emphasizes transparency and authenticity, with Kuljit personally visiting factories in India to ensure adherence to organic and fair trade standards.

Beyond his entrepreneurial endeavors, Kuljit is a father of three and resides in Vancouver.  He is also involved with Fairtrade Canada, serving as Treasurer.
