In 2018, as he was beginning his own private consulting practice, he was voted onto the Board of Directors as a Director by the organization, IAFSM.

As an independent consultant, Christopher has worked for clients including General Motors, General Electric, and Sherwin-Williams.

Christopher has also joined USIBD where he is currently the chair of a subcommittee on Laser Scanning Hardware and working on a mission to create a standard in the industry for manufacturer-based specifications in addition to teaching a module for the IAFSM Basic Laser Scanning Certification class held annually at their conference.

He was nominated to the planning committee for the 2022 IAFSM conference in conjunction with the organization, ACSR.

Christopher planned the 2023 GeoWeek Scanner Shootout for USIBD to compare terrestrial laser scanners on an even parity, the 2023 Slam Scanner Walk off to be held in October, and is currently planning the 2024 GeoWeek event to compare SLAM and terrestrial scanners in a like environment for comparison on both data and pricing for those that are interested in entering the Reality Capture market.
