Participates in 3 items

Kim fuses decades of hi-tech work experience with world-class leadership and team coaching training. He is very comfortable working with individuals and teams of senior-level overachievers in multi-national companies, unpredictable and volatile work environments in startups, and within the complexities of public organizations to hold a trusted and inspirational space where courageous commitments, genuine action, and results happen.

Kim’s career began in the Oil & Gas industry – working in project management and contract administration on the TQM and Norman Wells pipeline projects. Today, Kim is the Principal of BEAKOUTcx, a peripheral consulting practice originally focused on revenue generation and performance consulting and coaching that began in 2011.  Prior to, and during, the evolution of his coaching career, Kim held senior roles in sales, marketing, and business development areas in the hi-tech industry for nearly three decades. Most of the companies he worked for did business directly or indirectly with the Earth Observation, Geomatics, and Spatial industries.  Kim has operated as an in-house mentor and go-to team coach and facilitator for a significant part of his career. He now focuses exclusively on leadership and team coaching.

Kim is a graduate of both the Team Coaching Fundamentals and Certificate Programs from the Team Coaching Studio (TCS) in London UK, a graduate and Core Practitioner of ICF accredited Presence-Based® Coaching out of Ashville, NC, and a member of the International Coaching Federation (ICF).  Kim holds a Bachelor Degree in Management from the University of Lethbridge and an Industrial Engineering Diploma from the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology. He also completed an advanced technology Post Graduate program in Earth Observation and GIS from the College of Geographic Sciences in Nova Scotia.
