Giorgia Masina
Giorgia Masina has been advising on data protection since 2003. She is the founder of Studio Legale Masina (2017), a boutique firm that is specialized manly in data protection in the health sector (electronic medical record, online reporting, customer satisfaction surveys, e-Health, mobile-Health, scientific research in the medical field and clinical trials, genetic data and biological samples for the creation of biobanks). Giorgia is also a leading advisor on data protection for public bodies (Universities), financial and insurance firms as well as for online and media providers.
Giorgia has been invited as a speaker at many events (masters/conferences/symposiums) and her contribution mainly concerned data protection in the health sector, clinical trials, online services and FOIA requests.
Giorgia is a member of the Milan Bar Association and a member of the Advisory Boards of: Facilitate (Framework for Clinical Trial Participants’ Data Reutilization for a Fully Transparent and Ethical Ecosystem), ASSO DPO, ANPD - Associazione Nazionale Protezione dei Dati Personali, Federprivacy and the Italian Universities’ DPO Working Group.
She has graduated from the Faculty of Law of the State University of Milan, with grade of 110/110 magna cum laude and obtained the LL.M. from the Ludwig Maximilians University of Munich (Germany) with grade "Sehr gut". Over the past years, she has taken several courses on Cybersecurity, organized by the National Association for Data Protection, and has obtained the certification of "Cybersecurity Manager".
Giorgia is fluent in English and German.
