In humanitarian crises, every bit of information can be a lifeline for those in need, which makes data a vital factor in providing food, shelter, and basic human needs.

  • There is a real person behind every dot and dash of data. This brings great responsibility!
  • DP can is a life and death matter (also in EU). For example the misuse of data vulnerable individuals in a refugee camp may impact not only their privacy rights but their very existence.
  • The ongoing war in Ukraine has certainly shown the crucial importance of privacy and data protection in times of armed conflict.
