Tiziana Lippiello is a Sinologist, a graduate of Ca’ Foscari University of Venice with a PhD from Leiden University, the first female Rector of Ca’ Foscari University of Venice and professor of Classical Chinese, Religion and Phylosophy of China at the Department of Asian and North African Studies.
She has been President of the Univeneto Foundation, member of the Conference of Italian University Rectors (CRUI) and President of Eutopia Alliance since 2022; she
has been member of the Board of Directors of Eutopia since 2021.
She served as Vice Rector in charge of relations with Asia (2014-2017) and International Relations (2017-2020), she promoted many cooperation projects with international universities, in particular with the Universities along the Silk Road, from Venice to Korea and South Asia, across the Mediterranean, the Caucasus and Middle and East Asia.
She held the position of Director of the Department of Asian and North African Studies from 2009 to 2014, she served as a member of the Academic Senate from 2006 to 2009 and of the Venice International University Board of Directors from 2006 to 2011.
Her research focuses on classical Chinese ethics, divination and mantic practices.
