Javier E. Gomez

Javier E. Gomez is a working actor/producer, who also has a long parallel career as an award-winning journalist, communications/marketing strategist, writer and script translator.  Off-Broadway, he appeared in No Dogs Allowed, a musical based on Sonia Manzano’s children’s book.  Other New York theatre credits include My Favorite Year (Village Light Opera, Dir. Evan Pappas), Rocky Horror Show (Centerstage), Apathy: The Gen X Musical and The Smell of Popcorn.  In regional, Javier has appeared in Spanish-language productions of The Wiz, Man of La Mancha, and most recently David Mamet’s Speed-the-Plow (which he also translated), directed by Luis Salgado.  Javier is the founder of High Pitch, a media relations firm focused on communications, special projects and campaigns.  Current and recent projects include Hamilton, Ghetto Klown, Rocky, Disney’s Lion King, Aladdin and Newsies on Broadway; the Mexican Spanish-language production of Lion King, R.Evolución Latina and the MirRam Group, as well the Spanish-language media relations for Lin-Manuel Miranda. Javier also served as press officer for Governor George Pataki, helping to foster cultural and business partnerships with Latin American countries. He holds Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees in journalism (CUNY), and a conservatory degree in acting from the Esper Studio.  He currently hosts “Dialogo Abierto”, a Spanish-language public affairs program on BronxNet TV.  He was a co-producer of the 2011 Broadway revival of Godspellwww.javieregomez.com
