Arielle Jacobs
Arielle Jacobs most recently starred as Princess Jasmine in Disney's Aladdin in Sydney, Australia. Previous Broadway credits include Wicked (Nessarose), In The Heights (Nina Rosario in the closing cast, opposite creator Lin-Manuel Miranda) and the original national touring casts of In the Heights (Nina) and Disney's High School Musical (Gabriella, directed by Jeff Calhoun). Off-Broadway, she has starred in two world-premiere plays by Pulitzer-winning playwright and director Nilo Cruz: Farhad or the Secret of Being (Farhad) and Sotto Voce (Lucila). Regional credits include: Into the Woods (Baker's Wife, opposite Tituss Burgess as the Witch), Rent (Mimi), Two Gentlemen of Verona (Julia), and The Rose of Corazon (Rosa). Broadway workshops include: Between the Lines, Atlantis, Diamond Alice, Secondhand Lions, It Shoulda Been You, Head Over Heels, Nightingale, MASK, GoGo Beach, The Boy from New York City. While her singing voice can be heard on film scores and on television, she has performed onstage in many of America's greatest concert halls (including Lincoln Center in NYC, The Kennedy Center in Washington DC, Symphony Hall in Boston, Yale Hall, the Saenger Theater in New Orleans, Kauffman Center, and many more) beside legendary artists such as Wynton Marsalis and the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra, Chaka Khan, Teena Marie, and Stephen Schwartz. Arielle and Lexi Lawson (current Eliza in Hamilton) founded The Girls Camaraderie Project, a nonprofit organization that inspires camaraderie and community, instead of competition, among middle-school girls.
