Darius Arya is an Iranian-American archaeologist excavating, teaching, living and exploring Rome and its Empire for 20 years. He's been based in Rome and is a frequent TV expert and host, appearing on History Channel over the years. He's recently been concentrating on the history that lurks beneath the surface, in many man-made subterranean sites. He's also the director of the American Institute for Roman Culture and he relaunched their free educational learning platform ancientromelive.org which presents Rome and Empire in new, integrated formats: livestream, video and podcasts.
