In a 2010 interview J. K Rowling mentioned that her books had been “lauded and taken into the pulpit” as much as they had been attacked. I have had the opportunity to present the Mythic/Christian symbolism contained within the Harry Potter saga for 14 years speaking on this subject to Christian parent and youth groups as well as Harry Potter conferences across America. J. K. Rowling stated in an interview in 2007," To me the religious parallels have always been obvious", the religious symbolism of the books connects perfectly with the virtues of love, courage, and self-sacrifice. Our panel will delve deeper into the question,"How does Harry Potter stand in the 'pulpit' with a Sermon for us all?"
