PDS Coaching Clinic: "Multi-purpose Defensive Drills Designed to Make Practices More Efficient"

My Session Status

1:30 PM, Sunday 1 Apr 2018 (45 minutes)
We have two hours daily on court to practice and we want to make the most of every minute on the court. Often we share our facility with two other varsity teams and we need to include a dynamic warm up as part of our 120 minutes on court. In addition we do a minimum of 30 minutes of skill development daily and now we are down to 80 minutes for full court work, transition and defense. In order to be efficient we run drills which achieve more than one focus on offense and defense. This session will focus on our daily defensive drills to address the following: closeouts, contests, block-outs, shell, baseline and slot bounce, stagger screens and ball screens/DHO’s.
