Becky Fritchie

STEAM LAB Teacher
Bluff Ridge Primary

Mrs. Becky Fritchie currently serves as the STEAM Lab Facilitator for grades Kindergarten through Fifth Grade at Bluff Ridge Primary (BRP) in Ascension Parish. She has taught in Ascension Parish for twelve years, spending the last two years at Bluff Ridge Primary in her current position. She is an alumna of Lee High School, graduated from Louisiana State University, and is currently enrolled at Louisiana State University: Shreveport to obtain her Master’s of Education in Curriculum and Instruction with a focus in STEM Education.

As an educator, Becky serves as the BETA Club Sponsor, co-sponsor of the BRP News Team, and assists with the planning and implementation of Positive Behavior System reward ceremonies - among other duties and responsibilities on campus. Becky brings many learning opportunities to her school community by incorporating the Aerospace Connections in Education (ACE) Program from the Civil Air Patrol, guest speakers, and professionals from a variety of backgrounds to many classrooms across the campus, and brings lessons and activities from her experiences as an Educator Ambassador for Infinity Science Center in Mississippi as well as Space Center Houston in Texas.

A life-long learner herself, Becky seeks out every available opportunity to enhance her own knowledge and find ways to leverage these experiences to best reach the students in her classroom and school community. She is also currently serving as a cohort member of the Louisiana Department of Education Coastal Fellowship Program to collaborate and create science resources for and with some of Louisiana’s finest educators
