Theme:
Grades K-12
With the initial preparations already underway to send astronauts beyond low-Earth orbit for the first time in over 50 years, the need for water in order to sustain life has presented us with a new challenge. Water ice is critical for human survival on Mars, providing drinking water, as well as the water required for growing food. However, water ice combined with CO2, which can be found in abundance in the atmosphere of Mars, can ALSO be turned into . . Oxygen to breathe . . . Methane for rocket fuel . . .
Join us as we send a robotic FLEET to Mars, and then code those Ozobots to transport water ice from the polar ice caps, back to the FIRST HUMAN HABITAT ON MARS! Once that water ice has been safely transported, watch it TRANSFORM BEFORE YOUR VERY EYES to hydrogen gas and oxygen gas!
