The Real Big Bang Theory – Calculating the Age of the Universe

This session will take a look back in time to calculate how long ago the universe first started expanding (i.e. the Big Bang). Using observational data, participants will be able to calculate Hubble’s constant and an approximate age of the universe. Activities can be completed either on a laptop or on paper.
