Session
When:
9:30 AM, Friday 7 Feb 2020 (1 hour 30 minutes)
How:
This engaging, hands-on workshop will share practical, integrative ways to collaborate with members of the "STEAM TEAM" on your campus. These three presenters are the science, art, and technology teachers at The Kinkaid School in Houston. With over six years of creative, collaborative partnership, this "STEAM TEAM" serves as a model for what can be accomplished in your school! Workshop experiences include a model unit on the STEAM of working with glass and also a second unit on flight and rocketry. Participants will create a faux glass art piece, and engage in the design process to create a collaborative bird sculpture with careful attention to principles of flight. An art giveaway and loads of resources will be available for you and your team!
