The
Seaplane Challenge is a NSWC Carderock-developed curriculum activity for
students. In this 3 hour, hands-on
session, attendees will gain a brief overview of the Navy NC-4 flying boat
(Seaplane) and the engineering challenge it took to build. Attendees will then build their own
Seaplane that will be tested in flight at the end of the session. Finally
attendees will receive a template of the activity that can be taken back to
their schools and used with their students in a unit on flight, as an ongoing
project, or to be used in an after-school setting. This is a double session do not schedule anything the 3:15-4:45 session time. https://spacecenter.grenadine.co/seec2020/form/SessionEval |
