The Seaplane Challenge: A Sea-Based Aviation and Aeronautics STEM Initiative- Double Session

How:
The Seaplane Challenge is a NSWC Carderock-developed curriculum activity for students. In this 3 hour, hands-on session, attendees will gain a brief overview of the Navy NC-4 flying boat (Seaplane) and the engineering challenge it took to build. Attendees will then build their own Seaplane that will be tested in flight at the end of the session. Finally attendees will receive a template of the activity that can be taken back to their schools and used with their students in a unit on flight, as an ongoing project, or to be used in an after-school setting.

This is a double session do not schedule anything the 3:15-4:45 session time.
