Given the extreme level of observed diversity of extraterrestrial environments in the universe, combined with the observed extreme diversity of life that exists in our own single terrestrial environment, it is reasonable to assume that diverse extraterrestrial environments must yield EXTREMELY diverse lifeforms, such that we might be completely unable to identify them as “alive” using our traditional definitions. Will we even recognize life as life? Join us and explore Drake’s equation, the Fermi Paradox and the search for life. |
