How:

This is a very practical course on how to manage common ocular conditions that present to a comprehensive or paediatric ophthalmologist. We will use case-based discussions to highlight assessment and management strategies. This includes how to communicate the concepts to parents for them to understand and be onboard with management. We will also describe long term complications including poor treatment compliance and steps to help families. 

Learning Objectives

At the end of this course, participants will be able to:

  • Describe the current management approaches to prevent myopia in children
  • Describe new developments in management of childhood blepharitis and recurrent inflammation
  • Describe management strategies for children with ocular allergy
