Learning Objectives

At the end of this session, participants will be able to:

  1. Collaborative Care in Orthoptics: Explore the importance of interdisciplinary collaboration between orthoptists, ophthalmologists, optometrists, and other healthcare professionals to improve patient outcomes.
  2. Understand the Role of Orthoptics: Gain a comprehensive understanding of the role and scope of orthoptics in patient care, including assessment and management techniques for various visual disorders.
  3. Enhance Diagnostic Skills: Develop improved diagnostic skills for identifying common and complex eye conditions that orthoptists encounter in clinical practice.

CanMEDS: Medical Expert, Health Advocate

Target Audience: This session is open to orthoptists, ophthalmologists, ophthalmology fellows and residents, medical students, and other allied health professionals.
