
Kyobin Hwang

Kyobin Hwang is a first-year medical student at the University of Toronto with a keen interest in the field of ophthalmology. She completed her undergraduate degree in the Bachelor of Health Sciences program at McMaster University. Her current research focuses on investigating multimodal imaging features, clinical presentation, and treatment of uveitis. Combining her passion for ophthalmology, environmental sustainability, and advocacy, Kyobin is an active member of a working group in partnership with the Canadian Coalition for Green Health Care, aiming to develop a national ophthalmology sustainability toolkit. In her free time, she volunteers with a pediatric vision screening program, visiting various elementary schools across Toronto to screen kindergarteners for amblyopia.
