Trained in tropical agriculture Martin has been working with small farmer organizations for 35 years. Martin worked with Camino and Equal Exchange and sat on the board of SPP-Global as well as on Fairtrade international’s sugar product advisory committee. He is currently working as an agricultural development officer and is the co-owner of Atelier de torrefaction la Forêt, a worker owned coffee roastery located in Ripon QC that works on the protection of biodiversity and the inclusion and rights of migrant farm workers.
