L’Association québécoise de télédétection (L’AQT)

L’Association Québécoise de Télédétection (L’AQT) is a private, multidisciplinary, non-profit, French-speaking association. It was founded in Quebec City on November 28, 1975. The goal of the Association is to promote the development of remote sensing in its essence as well as in its uses by various means of action including : 

 

-The creation of information and consultation mechanisms for members and the pursuit of surveys and briefs; 

-The holding of symposia, colloquia, seminars and conferences on scientific, technical, administrative or other aspects related to remote sensing or its applications; 

-Assisting members in the publication of scientific and technical articles and the creation, if necessary, of one or more publications; 

-Establishing links with other organizations with interests in the field of remote sensing; 

-Maintaining a continuous and dynamic presence in Quebec; 

-Playing a role as a disseminator and catalyst within the Quebec remote sensing community; 

-By sharing and promoting remote sensing in Quebec, in Canada and in the Francophonie.
