Catherine Champagne is the manager of the Earth Observation team at Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada. She has 26 years of experience in monitoring agroecosystems using Earth Observation and and modelling tools from field to national scales. She has a PhD from the University of Guelph where she evaluated the integration of satellite based soil moisture into drought and climate risk analyses and has studied at the University of Ottawa and McGill University. She works out of the Central Experimental Farm in Ottawa, Ontario.
