
Simon Tolszczuk-Leclerc
Simon Tolszczuk-Leclerc is the Manager of the Emergency Geomatics Service (EGS) at Natural Resources Canada, where he leads a team specializing in the use of cutting-edge geospatial technologies, including Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) remote sensing, to support emergency response across the country. His expertise spans both leading scientific research projects and directing real-time emergency response efforts during disasters. Over the past 10 years, Simon has played a key role in providing critical geospatial intelligence for over 50 disaster events, contributing to improved situational awareness and more effective resource allocation. Passionate about strengthening Canada's resilience to climate change, Simon dedicated to developing and implementing efficient response tools and systems. At GeoIgnite, he will share insights on how geospatial technologies, particularly SAR, can enhance our ability to create a sustainable world, improve security, and bolster public services like the EGS.
