
Guido Scorza
Guido Scorza: Lawyer, journalist, and adjunct professor of law in new technologies and privacy.
He is currently a member of the Board of the Italian Data Protection Authority (Garante per la protezione dei dati personali), formerly a Supreme Court lawyer and founding partner of the law firm E-Lex.
He has served as head of national and European legal affairs for the Digital Transformation Team, legal advisor to the Minister for Innovation, deputy representative of the Italian Government to the GAC – Governmental Advisory Committee of ICANN, as well as a member of the policy subgroup of the Ad hoc Committee on Artificial Intelligence Regulation of the Council of Europe.
He has always worked in the field of law and new technologies, both as a lawyer and in public office, a subject he teaches at several Italian universities, including:
— Roma Tre University, where he teaches the module “E-privacy e telco” in the Master’s program “Responsabile della protezione dei dati personali: Data Protection Officer e Privacy Expert”, as well as the course “Protezione dei dati personali e tutela delle libertà fondamentali – Clinica legale privacy”;
— The University of International Studies of Rome – UNINT, where he teaches “Diritto della Comunicazione e del Commercio Digitale”;
— The University of Bologna, where he teaches the module on IT contracts in the Master’s program in legal informatics and new technologies law.
