Federica De Stefani is a lawyer, member of the Mantua Bar Association, specialized in Data Protection and Data Governance; in advanced strategies for the application of EU Regulation 2016/679; in cybercrime and digital investigations; in Legal Tech; in Big Data, Artificial Intelligence and online platforms; and in sports law. She is a DPO and a certified “Maestro Protezione Dati & Data Protection Designer” of the Italian Institute for Privacy and Data Valorisation. 

She is a member of the EDPB's Support Pool of Experts for Italy. She is an adjunct professor at Link Campus University and Unicollege SMML, where she teaches Digital Media Law, Cybercrime Analysis and Cybersecurity, and Digital and Web Marketing. She regularly participates as a speaker in conferences, but also courses organized by Italian universities. 

She is coordinator and teaching staff member of the Building Trust in Human-Centric Artificial Intelligence Link Campus University, Jean Monnet project. She is a member of CODOPE (which stands for the Italian “Comitato Docenti Percorso di Eccellenza” Faculty Path of Excellence Committee) and contact person for the Path of Excellence “The use of AI and the practical connotations of data protection, cybersecurity and ethical principles” at Link Campus University. She collaborates with the DITES (Digital, Technologies, Education & Society) Research Center at Link Campus University and is a member of the editorial board of Quaderni di comunità, the journal of the DITES Research Center. She is a member of the Legal Commission of Coni Lombardia for the four-year Olympic period 2021-2024 and a trainer of the Coni Olympic Training 2023-2024. 

She is a member of the editorial board of Olympialex review, a sports law journal. She is a founding member and board member of Ondif, Mantua territorial section and RNF, (which stands for the Italian Rete Nazionale Forense - National Forensic Network). 

She is author of legal publications, including more than 10 monographs, published by Giuffrè Francis Lefebvre Editore, Hoepli,Maggioli and La Tribuna.  

She also writes for online journals such as Digital Agenda, Cybersecurity 360 and BigData4Innovation.  

She is co-founder of Legal Hackers Mantova.
