Mr Nermin Becirbasic
Nermin Bećirbašić currently serves as the Head of Department for Legal Affairs and Human Resources at the Agency for Identification Documents, Registers and Data Exchange of Bosnia and Herzegovina (IDDEEA). In addition, since 2023, he has also assumed the role of Acting Assistant Director for the Sector for Legal and Financial Affairs. He plays a key role in advising the director on day-to-day activities related to data exchange, digital signatures, interoperability, trust services, and eServices implementation throughout Bosnia and Herzegovina. These initiatives ensure compliance with data protection regulations, as IDDEEA manages sensitive data registers (including civic registers) and facilitates data exchange with other institutions across Bosnia and Herzegovina. Nermin has actively participated in numerous projects funded by international institutions like USAID, UNDP, GIZ and SIGMA. His collaboration with these institutions has resulted in significant advancements in public administration digitalization within Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Nermin holds a Master's degree in Eastern European Studies and Researches obtained from a university in Bologna, Italy. He also possesses a Bachelor's degree in Law from the Law University in Banja Luka, Bosnia and Herzegovina.
