Jasmina Byrne is Chief of Foresight and Policy at UNICEF Global Office of Research and Foresight – Innocenti. Jasmina has over 25 years of experience in leading global research and policy development including on issues related to children and emerging technologies. Since 2018 Jasmina has been leading UNICEF’s work on global foresight and anticipatory policy, covering a range of macro trends related to digital tech, macroeconomics, public governance, society and the environment. Prior to this, she managed UNICEF's Office of Research portfolio on children and digital connectivity, child rights, and child protection. Jasmina has a keen interest in digital policy and data governance spanning over 15 years, conducting research, policy innovation, and advocacy on behalf of children. She has authored and co-authored several studies and policy documents on children's use of digital technologies, internet governance, AI and digital civic engagement, including co-authoring UNICEF's Manifesto on Children's Data Governance.
