The MONICA project is a large-scale demonstration of IoT technology solutions that help improve crowd security & safety, sound monitoring & control and user experience at big, open-air, cultural and sporting events that attract and affect many people.

Based on several IoT-enabled devices such as smart wristbands, surveillance cameras, smart glasses and sound level meters, MONICA is offering a portfolio of applications for enhanced city services, deployed in six different European cities: Bonn, Copenhagen, Hamburg, Leeds, Lyon and Torino.
