
Patricia Moore experienced her first taste of STEM education and aerospace outreach while working at Johnson Space Center’s visitor center Space Center Houston in college. She fell in love with inspiring students to perused STEM careers and sharing NASA’s story with the public so she continued working at Space Center Houston following the completion of her degree in Early Childhood Education. As the Special Projects Education Specialist, Patricia went on to manage a variety of student and teacher education programs from 2006-2009.
In 2009, Patricia accepted at a job as a Digital Learning Network Education Specialist at NASA’s Johnson Space Center (JSC) from 2009-2014 and lead a team of Education Specialists to develop and implement unique learning opportunities utilizing state-of-the-art video conference technologies. During her time with the DLN, she presented over 1000 live, on camera educational lessons, hosting the NASA TV Music in Space event and created unique content for special events.
Patricia now serves as a Communication Strategist and the Museum Liaison for NASA’s Artemis Communication Team. She travels the country integrating Human Exploration resources at museums, science centers, planetariums, libraries and other information education groups. Her continuous efforts to provide resources, individualized support, and authentic NASA experiences enables valued community partners to inspire the next generation of explorers.
